Lechuza Polo Team Cause Of Death Found To Be Accidental: Medication Was Too Strong

The cause of death for the 21 polo ponies who died last week has now been determined as accidental. A pharmacy in Florida said they provided a specially mixed supplement for the horses and that it must have accidentally been made too strong.

So maybe it wasn’t an attack against their owner, Venezuelan millionaire Victor Vargas, after all?

  2. The “supplement” in question is widely used in Europe but not approved for use in the US.

    “The pharmacy may have illegally created a compound imitating the supplement Biodyl, which is not approved for use in the United States”
