Emilio Navaira Sentenced To 1 Month House Arrest, 1 Year Probation For Four Year-Old DWI Charge
14 May 2009, 8:28 PM. By Cindy Casares
Emilio Navaira was ordered on Wednesday to serve a year of probation after pleading no contest to a four-year-old drunken driving charge that occurred in the San Antonio area. This is the third DWI offense for the singer, so the plea helped him get out of serving 20 years in prison because he was sentenced as if he only had two offenses. Typical.
As part of the plea agreement, Navaira was ordered to spend a month under house arrest with an electronic monitor and to pay an $800 fine. The probation will run concurrently with two years probation he received in Harris County for that big old bus wreck he caused on Easter of 2008.
