David Carradine Dead, Found Hanging In Bangkok Hotel Closet

UPDATE: David Carradine was found dead, hanged by a nylon rope in the closet of his Bangkok hotel room. The rope was believed to be from the hotel room curtains, Bangkok Police Lt. Col. Pirom Chanpirom said Thursday. There was no sign of forced entry. Autopsy report to follow.

The United States Embassy in Bangkok told The A.P. that David Carradine was found dead in his hotel suite in Bangkok, where he was working on a movie. He was 72.

An investigation is under way as to the nature of his passing.

Carradine is best known for his roles in Shane and Kung Fu. Later he acted in Kill Bill Vol 2. But our favorite David Carradine movie is 1978’s Circle of Iron.
