Hugo Chavez Has Banned Coke Zero From Venezuela, And You Wonder Why We Love Him

Nothing makes our hearts go pitter pat like when zany Hugo Chavez bans Coke Zero from Venezuela, for “unspecified dangers to health.” That’s what Reuters called them. [Ed. What had happened was, Hugo only likes red cans.]

Health Minister Jesus Mantilla said the zero-calorie Coke Zero should no longer be sold and stocks of the drink removed from store shelves.

“The product should be withdrawn from circulation to preserve the health of Venezuelans,” the minister said in comments reported by the government’s news agency.

Of course, America thinks he’s just doing it to piss us off, but he really did it to hang onto his toddlerish figure. Naomi is a chubby chaser, don’t you know.
