Norman Brinker Is Dead At 78

Norman Brinker died this morning while on vacation in Colorado Springs. He had just turned 78 last Wednesday. Brinker was the Colorado-born chairman of Brinker International. We owe him food chains like Chillis, On the Border, Maggiano’s and Macaroni Grill.

Brinker’s also a former Olympian who was part of the 1952 U.S. Olympic Equestrian Team. If all that isn’t enough, he did it while serving the Navy.
