Junior and Senior Paul Rodriguezes Inaugurate New Skate Park
25 June 2009, 12:44 PM. By Alejandro Paz
Recently, Nike, the LA 84 Foundation and the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks joined dreamier than thou Paul Rodriguez, Jr. and his dad, funnier than thou Paul Rodriguez, Sr., to inaugurate the Paul Rodriguez Skate Park at Ritchie Valens Public Park in Pacoima, California, making it the Mexicanniest park in the area.
The new skate park’s design attempts to recreate famous Southern California skate spots by incorporating the rails and ramps into the natural fabric of the park thereby providing a neighborhoody feel rather than that of a traditional fenced in park.
Little P-Rod had this to say, “I wish I was 15 again so that I could grow up with such amazing terrain nearby.”
