If you’re American, you think of Acapuloco as the annoying spring break getaway that high school grads hit up fro spring break. If you’re Mexican, you probably know it as Nacapulco, because it’s fallen from grace (Elizabeth Taylor used to hang there in her and Acapulco’s heyday!) and it’s now game in the ongoing Narco wars. Truth is, most beach towns such as Puerto Vallarta, Cancun, etc. are very poor and busted, once you leave the turistic areas that is. This is some of the latests of what’s going on down there.
