Alcanzar Una Estrella, Mariana Garza, Danna Paola !@#$ WTF?

I have no idea how they worked this into the script, but shit, I guess Televisa will have a go at anything and anytime.

A bit of a backstory; Mariana was one of the stars of ‘Alcanzar Una Estrella’ - the very, very popular Latin American soap opera that launched the likes of Ricky Martin into teenage stardom. She was also in Timbiriche, who propelled other dorks like Thalia and Paulina Rubio. Mariana was kind of the dork who was shadowed by the prettier girls in Timbiriche; Sasha Sokol, Bibi Gaitan, etc. So when she played the ugly ducking character in ‘Alcanzar Una Estrella’ it fit right in.

Then we have Danna Paola, a Miley Cyrus of sorts that Televisa has been dumping money into. Recently she was in some sort of scandal cause she posed ‘too sexy’ for her 14-year-old self on the cover of a Mexican entertainment magazine. She also plays an ugly duckling character in her current novela.
