Ben Roethlisberger Sued For Sexual Assault In Washoe County, Nevada
21 July 2009, 10:29 AM. By Alejandro Paz
Former Super Bowl champion quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger has been sued by Andrea McNulty, an employee of Harrah’s near Lake Tahoe for assault, sexual assault and battery, false imprisonment, false pretenses, fraud, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. Dang, sounds like this big dumb oaf done caught a case! Oh wait, no criminal charges have been pressed. Looks like the night went wrong for Andrea McNulty who went to Roethlisberger’s hotel room hoping to discuss the finer points of something other than Big Ben’s privates. She claims he asked her to fix the TV. Wow, that’s quite a pick up line. For his part, Ben’s lawyer, David Cornwll denies any wrongdoing and questions McNulty’s motive:
The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct. If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated.
