NJ Man Charged in Death of American Idol Contestant Alexis Cohen

A 23-year old New Jersey man has been arrested for reckless driving in the hit-and-run death of former American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen. Cohen, an Allentown, PA native who became a fan favorite after her brash audition in 2007, was struck by a car around five o’clock Saturday morning in Seaside Heights, New Jersey. The driver, Daniel Bark, was arrested Sunday night and could face up to 15 years in jail.
