Robert Capa's iconic war photograph is displayed during the "Correspondents In the Spanish Civil War" exhibition at the Instituto Cervantes in New York. The Spanish newspaper El Periodico has claimed that the photo -- that shows a Republican soldier at the apparent moment he was fatally hit in the back by a bullet -- was in fact staged.

    Lame. I used this in a 10th grade presentation in my Spanish class. I even included a clip of "Spanish Bombs" by The Clash to introduce the photo (which Crawled In from left to right... or maybe it was a Wedge). Such a shame....
