Tribune Company Sells Chicago Cubs Today For <$900M

Bankrupted Tribune Company sold one of the most storied franchises in all of sports to the Ricketts family of TD Ameritrade richness today for a little under $900 million. The Ricketts likely plan to continue the Cubs’ tantanlizingly awful play in hopes of keeping the loveable losing tradition alive. Or hell, maybe they’ll try to win.
