The U.S. Forest Service issued warnings this past week stating that signs of possible drug trafficking include “tortilla packaging, Spam, Tuna and Tecate beer cans.”

Then when people were like, Wait. What? Hank Kashdan, associate chief of the U.S. Forest Service said, “It is inexcusable and we regret that this insensitivity distracted attention from the real problem of illegal marijuana cultivation on federal land and the threats to human safety and environmental degradation it poses.”

We regret that the next time we go camping we’re gonna be scared shitless when we break out our bag of  Tecate and ingredients to make Spam and tuna quesadillas. Watch yourself gente. Racial profiling has come to the woods.

Tortillas and tuna? Are narcotraffickers fond of fish tacos?
