Hubby Hubby Is Ben & Jerry’s New, Big, Gay, Vermont Ice Cream
1 September 2009, 7:49 PM. By Cindy Casares

Our favorite ice cream flavor in all the world, Ben & Jerry’s Chubby Hubby is being renamed Hubby Hubby in honor of Vermont legalizing gay marriage today–a law which replaces civil unions, available to gay and lesbian couples for 10 years–and we couldn’t be happier. We love those caramel-filled chocolate pretzels almost as much as we love man-on-man bareback action. And when you’re married, you often totally can go bareback. Huzzah! (*Disclaimer: Weigh risk factors before engaging in bareback action with your new gay husband.)
Okay, anyway–ice cream. Alas, you won’t be able to buy a pint of Hubby Hubby at the grocery to keep for posterity. The new flavor only lasts for 30 days and is only available at Ben & Jerry’s outlets.
“The legalization of marriage for gay and lesbian couples in Vermont is certainly a step in the right direction, and something worth celebrating with peace, love - and plenty of ice cream,” Ben & Jerry’s CEO Walt Freese said in announcing the sugary switch.
Yay, Ben & Jerry’s.

You understand that this ice-cream contains fudge-packed sticks, correct? That can’t be a coincidence. Maybe there’s a fish taco-flavored “Wifey Wifey” companion ice cream in the works.
