9/9/09: The Perfect Day To Get Married

In China thousands of couples decided to get married on September 9 of 2009 because… it’s 9-9-09!! According to the Chinese numerology, the word nine in Mandarin is pronounce “jiu” which sounds pretty similar to the word “longevity” and that’s exactly why all of these couples are getting married today, because they want their marriage to last forever. It’ is expected that this year a world record will be broken of more couples getting married on the same day.
