Drunk Man Mistaken For Robber, Given Money

Clerks at the “Five Star Snacks and More” shop in Waterloo, Iowa were confused when a rambling man approached their store with his hand in his pocket. Fearing for their safety, they threw all their money in a bag and flung it at the man, who promptly turned around and left without taking it. Turned out he was just a drunk out on a Twinkie run. 

Why does this sort of thing never happen to us when we’re drunk and stumbling into bodegas?
