The French are upset that McDonald’s is set to open a restaurant in the famous Louvre museum, ruining everything with their Royales with Cheese and their French freedom fries:

“This is the last straw,” said one art historian working at the Louvre, who declined to be named. “This is the pinnacle of exhausting consumerism, deficient gastronomy and very unpleasant odours in the context of a museum.”

He/she does realize other examples of gross consumerism exist in the Louvre’s underground mall and gift shop, non? True story: La Joconde is wearing FILA sneakers.
