Rio Wants A Piece Of Woody Allen

Brazilian film studio Conspiracao and both Rio de Janeiro city and state have offered Woody Allen a combined 17 million dollars to come shoot a film there in 2012. Isn’t the film industry supposed to bring in jobs? We suppose the locals see it as an investment to encourage other filmmakers to make major productions there. That trend has been in serious decline in recent years with many businesses, including film production services, fleeing Rio because of the crime rate.
