Missing Florida Baby

Lessons from Florida: Don’t leave your baby under the bed. Even it’s a freaky looking one like this one. Investigators found 7-month-old Shannon Dedrick in a box at her babysitter’s home in Chipley, Fla. yesterday after she’d been missing since Saturday. She was not living under the bed, but rather, it seems her babysitter had stolen her and when the cops came to investigate, she hid Shannon behind some old, Christmas wrapping paper and her vibrator.

It seems the babysitter, Susan Elizabeth Baker, alleges that Shannon’s parents are abusive. Baker, her husband and Shannon’s mom are all going to be charged in the case.

She is a beautiful baby and not some alien creature. You should be ashamed of yourself for making a stupid statement.

Overly round-head. Often (but not always) a sign of the kid being kept in a carrier all the time. Gotta love that.

Perhaps some one should hide you. Your comment, “Even it’s a freaky looking one like this one” is out of line. It is unprofessional and unnecessary. I suppose this is what you get when you hire immature amateurs to write for your column.

It is really sad when, Cindy Casares, has to sign in as a guest in order to respond. No we know she is not only a bully, unprofesional, a bad writer but also a coward.
Best thing people can do is not read her column as trash like her belongs in the garbage.

…recognizing ignorance is one thing, contributing and partaking in it is another…in either case, it can surely credited to the decline of western civilization…myself, i offer my best to the child, and the rest of you as well.
in parting i leave you with the words of a wiseman,” he who is untainted, let him cast the first stone “..

It is unfortunate that such an incident happens in our society at all, but it certainly adds insult to injury to read such an ignorant and horrible comment about a baby. My heart goes out to this child, who never really had a chance, did she?

Shame on you calling an innocent child “freaky” looking. Maybe you should take a real close look at yourself, you might find you are the freak! Only a person with low self-esteem or NO self-respect could make such a comment. You must not have ever endured any tragedy or trauma in your life, or maybe you have and that is why you are so bitter. If you are not seeing a psychotherapist, I highly recommend that you do - ask about the possibly of “Histrionic Personality Disorder” OR maybe Narcistic???
You cannot call yourself a journalist - just sounds like the bullies in Jr. and High School to me. You should never be able to work in journalism. Maybe books on how to be a bully????and make fun of one’s looks, clothes, etc. so you can cause one pain - because you obviously have no compassion!!!!

    1. Sneaky, sneaky, sneaky, to mention the vibrator. Immediately predisposes one against the sitter, or seems intended to. Journalists spend years learning to write like that. Somehow stealing a baby isn’t bad enough all by itself; she also needs to be the owner of a vibrator, to make doubly sure the reading public despises to the intended degree.

The baby appears to have been neglected, as evidenced by the flat affect seen in her face, the roundness of her head does indicate she has not been held, but rather kept in a crib or carrier, the fact she wasn’t crying, to me that indicates she is used to being ignored. I’m certain the mother didn’t have prenatal care, probably uneducated, and no maternal instincts. This baby needs a good home, the sooner the better, as she could have severe attachment issues. What a sad cycle!

What the hell is up with all these Guests? Of course the baby looks fucked up, beyond just “Oh oh, she ain’t cute.” A healthy baby doesn’t look like that! Period. That means that she is a victim of some sort of abuse, whether it be from neglect (my guess, especially since the baby had zero reaction when her maternal grandmother was kissing and touching her) or drug or alcohol use during pregnancy. As humans we’re wired on some level to recognize fuckery like this. So that immediate, “What the hell?” reaction is good. If doctors lied to themselves the way these Guests do, they wouldn’t recognize the need to treat this baby girl for whatever shit her mother has put her through.

Now onto general ugliness in babies: Charles Barkley said it best, “If there are so many beautiful babies, why are there so many ugly people?” So GTFO!

  20. How did this get more comments than the Latin Grammy post? I am not sure I want to live in a world where real-life events are more interesting than gossip!!

And Cindy gets a mega gold star of the day for inciting fear into the hearts and mouths of the ignorant. I’m pretty sure that baby can’t read…don’t think it got its feelings hurt. And I am disappointed she called it by its real name…I come to this site for the womb gremlin references, damn it!!
