Abdoulaye Coulibaly is a black African albino who was recently awarded a special refugee status by the Spanish government. He escaped from Mali in order to avoid a possible death due to certain skin stigmas in African tribes.
This is the first time Spain grants this special status to anybody due to their physical condition. Rocio Cuellar, Coulibaly's lawyer, says the murder of black albinos is Africa "is a serious threat."
